Sonia and Amy have worked for Screen Australia and other State agencies advising on policy, legal and administrative aspects of incentives and official co-production treaties.

Sonia Borella
Over 25 years across producing, financing and law - credits include Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Three Thousand Years of Longing, Seriously Red, and Fangs (2026).
Sonia Borella is an experienced Producer, Executive Producer, Executive Consultant and Entertainment and Corporate Lawyer who has worked in the film and television industry for over 25 years - initially as a Partner of national law firm Holding Redlich and Chair of its national Media, Entertainment and Technology Group, and lead advisor on major Australian and international series and feature films, and subsequently as a Producer and Executive Producer. Credits include George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and Three Thousand Years of Longing; Gracie Otto’s Seriously Red; Josh Lawson’s Long Story Short; June Again; Go! aka Go Karts; and Lucy McKendrick’s Fangs with Joel Edgerton and Toni Collette (2026).
Sonia has extensive experience in finance structuring; accessing and maximising Australian Federal and State screen incentives, including through co-production; devising and closing out finance plans and distribution strategies; and problem-solving and crisis management across the financing, production and delivery phases. She has been a key contributor to industry and policy reforms, including around Australia’s official co-production program and screen incentives, and stimulating private investment in Australian projects.

Amy Noble
Senior roles at Screen Australia, Fremantle Australia and Flying Bark across 100+ projects, with deep expertise in incentives, industrial relations and governance.
Amy Noble is an experienced Commercial and Entertainment Lawyer, Commercial Executive, Non-Executive Director and Company Secretary. Across her career as a lawyer for Screen Australia, Director of Business Affairs and Legal for Fremantle Australia and COO of animation studio Flying Bark, Amy has been involved in the commercial and legal aspects of financing, development and production of more than 100 film and television projects spanning live action, scripted and unscripted, animated feature films, television and documentary.
She has extensive experience advising on the incentives available to projects at State and Federal level and through co-production, including novel applications of the PDV, Producer Offset and Location Offset, and negotiating successful outcomes with Screen Australia and the Department of the Arts. Amy is a leader in industrial relations negotiations with unions in Australia and the US for enterprise agreements for local and offshore cast and crew. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and an experienced Company Director and Secretary with a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance and Risk.
